Bosch Particulate Matter (PM) sensors continuously monitor the function of the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) via direct measurement of soot concentration to help reduce particulate emissions by up to 99%. An evolution from older ΔP sensor’s indirect estimate of soot, Bosch pioneered resistive-measurement Particulate Matter sensors in order to provide precise real-time data to the ECU. With accurate soot data, the ECU can avoid unnecessary DPF regenerations – increasing fuel efficiency, reducing ash buildup, and extending the lifespan of aftertreatment components such as the Diesel Particulate Filter. Bosch offers a full line of robust, durable, and accurate Particulate Matter sensors to the aftermarket with the same sensors currently trusted by OE manufacturers.
